Footage of prayers at the Grand Mosque in Mecca are being widely shared; people are adjusting to COVID-19 during Ramadan, marking out the importance of prayers, but an acceptable social distance is maintained.

The adjustments were applied for all five prayers and also for Taraweeh

All worshippers keep a physical distance

A small number are permitted to pray at the Grand Mosque

The space is usually flooded with people, now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only a limited number of worshippers can pray together
