The Russian Foreign Ministry Has Expressed Its Sentiments Toward The Saudi-Canada Dispute

Russias Response To The Saudi Canada Conflict

In announcement issued on Wednesday, Russia supported Saudi Arabia in its current diplomatic tensions with Canada. Russia noted that Canada's "authoritative tone" was not acceptable and that the Kingdom has its full right to handle its own internal affairs.

According to Arab News, Russia also accused Canada of politicizing human rights issues, in its official statement published online.

We consistently and firmly advocate compliance with universal human rights with due regard for the specific national customs and traditions that developed in a given country over a long period of time. We have always said that the politicization of human rights matters is unacceptable

However, Zakharova also hoped that the two countries would 'find a solution to their differences'

In the statement, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also added that feedback could have, instead, been handed from Canada to Saudi in a constructive way rather than in criticizing form.

She still hoped for the two countries to find a 'civilized solution to their differences.'
