Saudi Arabia is continuously reaching for the stars, somewhat literally.
Two Saudi-designed satellites have been launched into space this week
The two satellites that were developed by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) were launched from the Chinese Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
The satellites will be used to provide high-resolution images of the planet’s surface from low earth orbits and help with urban planning and provide government agencies with services.
The launch of the two new satellites is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030
But, wait – this isn’t the first time Saudi-designed satellites have been launched into space. KACST has so far launched 13 satellites.
