A US-based man who has been impersonating a Saudi prince for years has been sentenced to 18 years in jail.
The man has embezzled millions in fake investments pretending to be Prince Khalid Bin Al-Saud
He has been accused of scamming people using fake diplomatic credentials and hiring a group of bodyguards to follow him everywhere. He also lived in a luxurious Miami condo, drove a Ferrari with a forged diplomatic license plate, and courted investors and gift-givers.
He would use this fake identity to persuade investors to put up millions of dollars for fake business opportunities.
He has pleaded guilty to “identity theft and fraud”
