Turkey used to be the go-to destinations for foreign bound Saudis. However, the number of Saudis that are visiting Turkey has been dwindling of late, most of which has to do with the fact that several Saudis were robbed of their belongings over the past year or so.
However, a recent event that saw a gunman shoot and rob a Saudi has promoted the kingdom’s embassy in turkey to issue an advisory to all its citizens.
The incident took place at a café in Istanbul.
The embassy asked its citizens to take precaution while in Istanbul and avoid the tourist areas of Sisili and Taksim Square in the night.
