Saudi National Day is just around the corner and that means so is another long weekend.
The Saudi Ministry of Civil Service has announced a four-day holiday to celebrate this year’s Saudi National Day
The holiday will start by the end of working hours on Thursday September 19, and work will be resumed on Tuesday September 24.
The National Day is always celebrated on September 23 to commemorate the renaming of the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to Saudi Arabia by a royal decree from King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud in 1932.
The 2019 event will be the country’s 89th
Saudi National Day is celebrated with folklore dances, songs and all sorts of traditional festivals.
Expect to also see roads and buildings decorated with Saudi flags and people wear green shirts.
