A tremor was felt in nearby areas of Madinah on Tuesday, according to Saudi Gazette. The city experienced a 2.5 magnitude earthquake 14km northwest of Madinah but authorities claim it was mild and nothing to worry about.

The National Commission for Earthquake and Earthquake Monitoring (ECCI) recorded the tremor at 2:59 p.m. with a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale. The tremor was very weak and not dangerous
Residents felt tremors at around 3pm on Tuesday
The Civil Defense Directorate in Madinah said that people started calling in from towns located west of Madinah saying they felt tremors. The Saudi Geological Survey made an announcement that they recorded the 2.5 degree earthquake on the Richter scale.
