This is the second year of the Smart Hajj initiative which uses technology to help pilgrims with makes everything – from travel plans to medical care – much easier.
And this year’s Hajj is going to include robots who will be offering medical consultation to pilgrims
The Saudi Health Ministry is launching “robot” technology during this Hajj season to offer medical consultations at hospitals in Mina, and medical caravans.
The new technology will offer medical consultations from any region inside the kingdom, to virtually connect to hospital in Mina.
Medical staff from Riyadh and Jeddah have been trained on using this technology
The technology includes tools to check eyes and ears, as well as cameras to inspect the skin that will assist doctors in diagnosing patients and with offering consultations.
