5 Taif Restaurants That Are Worth Road-Tripping For

For those residing in Jeddah and Makkah, a trip to Taif has always been for a change of scenery and weather. But a lot of visitors to this mountainous city miss out on its amazing food. In fact, some of them are so good that they are destinations unto themselves and may actually even be worth a road trip on their own.

1. Mabshoor Taif

This gastronomic highpoint mustn’t be missed. The kebabs and koftas at this place are on another level. Scrumptious, delectable and appetizing - words fall short in describing the food here. They have two branches in the city and once you try them you’ll know why they enjoy enormous popularity in Taif.

2. Osaimi Burger

With four branches around Taif, Osaimi is ideal for those looking for a quick fix. The burger chain has been in business for decades; they are basically Taif’s answer to McDonald's.

3. Coffea

See this place and you’ll forget for a jiffy that you’re in Taif. Apart from the superfluity of coffees that they have on offer, their sweet treats are not to be missed. The café is very Instagrammable so you’ll probably want to take plenty of photos here while you relish on their offerings.

4. Mecarlo

Another one of those homegrown restaurants that specializes in burgers, Mecarlo is the kind of place that you’d expect in Jeddah. Except here, you’ll be shelling out much less.

5. Revolving restaurant

More than the food it is the locale that will make you want to come back here again and again. The restaurant is located atop the tallest building in Taif and it actually revolves around. If you manage to get a table by the glass walls, then get ready for panoramic 360° views of old Taif. Ideal for a romantic date night. :)
